FAQs
Can I enroll with Aggregate.EnergyTX if I currently get my electricity from a municipality?
No. Most Public Utilities Commissions have only allowed investor-owned utilities to participate in electric choice. Municipal electric cooperatives do not participate in electric choice.
Can I enroll with Aggregate.EnergyTX if I have an outstanding balance with my local utility?
If you regularly pay your invoice on time and have an outstanding balance only occasionally, you can enroll in Aggregate.EnergyTX. If you consistently have an outstanding balance, many REPs will reject such an enrollment.
Do I need to call my local utility to cancel service?
No. After you choose to sign up, Aggregate.Energy representatives will complete a set of checklists, including making sure your new enrollment has been officially approved and accepted by the new supplier.
When will my service with Aggregate.EnergTX begin?
The service will begin on the start date listed on the enrollment form.
Are there any switching fees?
No. We work very closely with suppliers, and our suppliers rarely charge our customers these types of fees.
Will I have an early termination fee?
Yes. If you choose to switch away from your supplier, there may be an early termination fee assessed on your last bill. However, our goal is to “run as one”; you won't have much reason to switch anyway.
Will I have to enter into a contract?
Yes. Everyone who has electricity has a contract, either short-term, such as 3 months, or long-term, like 36 months (3 years), but a contract needs to be in place. If a contract is not in place, customers are usually charged on a monthly-variable basis, which is very costly to consumers.
What price plans are available?
We secure fixed-rate electricity plans for residential and small commercial customers in deregulated territories.

As an Aggregate.EnergyTX member, the renewal time is the most important time. The idea is that your account will end with many more participants keeping our buying power growing at each renewal period.
